Blacklisted from the PTA by Lela Davidson is a collection of essays and I might add, funny essays. Some of them did fall short on the funny, FOR ME, but that could also have to do with the fact that I'm not quite in PTA mode yet since I only have Mason. But I could relate to a lot of it from seeing my Mom go through a lot of those things with David-Ava! Either way most of the essays are super short, I got through a large portion of them on my way home from BlogHer11 and I LOL'd at the If I had a Twitter Birth Story. She ended it with something about how she would have gotten more followers and it made me giggle because it's SO true. Getting more followers was one of the main reasons I was disappointed that I didn't do a Twitter Birth! Finally a book from a someone who understands the intricacies of Social Media or at least the intricacies of the way I use social media. I'm a huge social media girl but rarely do books mention it and rarely do they mention it in a way that *I* use it!
This book is perfect for bringing with you and reading on the go. The essays are often short so they're easy to get through. Because it's not a novel it's not super hard to find a spot to book mark, it's perfect for reading while in the parking lot of your kids school waiting for them to get out or waiting for that sports practice to FINALLY get over (is the coach STILL talking!?).
