French Toast Bites

Just last week Mama B made a super delicious looking French Toast Casserole and it inspired me for this weeks Tasty Tuesday. We were getting ready to make dinner and I couldn't think of anything for Mason to have when it occurred to me that I had everything I needed to make French Toast but I hesitated because he doesn't really just eat big pieces of bread and then I thought I'll just have to cut it up and make it bite sized and then I realized I'm just going to start it off like that. So enough with the pointless story and on to the French Toast Bites!

First you want to cut the slice of bread using a super sharp nice so it doesn't crush the bread. I used Nature's Own Oatmeal Bread. It's really dense so it sliced nicely without crushing the bread!

Next you want to beat one egg, a little bit of milk and about a teaspoon of vanilla.

Then you put the bites into the egg and cover all sides of each piece!

Once their coated put them in a pan over low to medium heat with some butter so it doesn't stick!

After a couple of minutes flip them!

I was making big boy French Toast for B too :)

When they're done toss the bites with 1/4 teaspoon white sugar, 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar and a dusting of cinnamon

Serve to your favorite toddler:

Who will wonder what this new meal is before digging in and enjoying the yumminess!
