and it all started the with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Covered Oreos. B and I like to call it the Turducken of Desserts. We're still working on a name. My favorite part about it is that it's incredibly easy!
First you make the cookie dough:
Then you make the brownies {I used mix to save some time}
Next you want to set up your brownie pan with some non-stick spray or butter, and heat the oven to 350 degrees. Once that's all set you want to start covering the Oreos {DOUBLE STUFFED} with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough just like we did before!
Next you want to pour your brownie batter into the pan, and space approximately 6-8 cookies into the pan. Next time around I will add more cookies, I think. I kinda like how some squares were more brownie then cookie and others were more cookie than brownie :)
They are SO good, and I'm not just saying that because *I* made them.
Ingredients
For Cookies
2 1/4 Cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking soda
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 large Eggs
12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 16.6 oz Package Double Stuffed Oreos {You won't use all of the cookies only about 12}
For Brownie Mix
1 box brownie mix or your favorite brownie recipe
2 eggs
Oil and Water according to instructions
Directions
1. Combine Flour, Salt and Baking soda
2. Beat softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, and Vanilla
3. Add eggs one at a time to mixture
4. Add flour, salt and baking soda mixture slowly to mixture
5. Add Chocolate Chips to mixture
6. Set Chocolate Chip Cookie dough aside.
7. Combine eggs, oil and brownie mix together for the brownie or use your favorite homemade brownie recipe.
8. Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees
9. Using your hands put a small handful of cookie dough on each side of the Oreo and roll into a ball. Make sure the Oreo is completely covered. Repeat until you have about 8 cookies made.
10. Use non-stick spray or butter to coat the bottom of a 13x9 pan.
11. Pour your brownie batter into the pan making sure everything it's spread evenly throughout the pan.
12. Place the un-cooked chocolate chip cookie covered Oreos in your pan evenly spaced from each other.
13. Cover the un-cooked cookies in brownie batter.
14. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the BROWNIE BATTER comes out clean!
